A considered workflow / 02

From the catalog.
With you in control.

No automatic publishing. No silent metadata replacement. Just the steps you choose to take.

  1. 01

    Prepare & review

Edit your photo. Let AI suggest metadata, then refine it in your own words.

  2. 02

    Finish the JPEG

Save metadata or export a finished JPEG and import it. Check the actual file before publishing.

  3. 03

    Send & submit

Publish to your agency, then complete categories, releases, and submission on its website.

The FTP tools send the original JPEG unchanged. Catalog-only metadata and Develop edits are not included automatically.

Before you begin / 03

A few good
questions.

Privacy & data handling
Which Lightroom do I need?

These are plug-ins for Adobe Lightroom Classic, not cloud Lightroom or Lightroom mobile. Each installs independently through File > Plug-in Manager. Native compatibility should be checked against your Lightroom and operating-system version; SDK declarations are not a tested-version guarantee.

What other costs should I consider?

AI Photo Tagging uses your own Microsoft Foundry resource and API key, so Microsoft charges you for cloud usage. Lightroom and agency account requirements are separate.

What leaves my computer?

The FTP tools send your original JPEGs and embedded metadata directly to the chosen agency. AI Photo Tagging sends a reduced preview, your optional photographer tip, and the capture time if enabled to your configured Foundry resource. Read the privacy guide before using personal or client photos.

Is FTP encrypted?

No. Both publishing plug-ins use plain FTP. Credentials and photos travel unencrypted, even though credentials are stored locally through Lightroom's encrypted storage. If encrypted transfer is required, use the agency's HTTPS web uploader instead.

Does Published mean accepted by the agency?

No. It means a transfer completed. You must check ingestion, complete submission details, and follow quality-control or review status on the agency website. The plug-ins do not synchronize acceptance status.
